An Interview With Eric Gremminger
Eric Gremminger, ICADC, SAP serves as the Co-Founder and CEO of digital behavioral health company: ERP Health. He also has national recognition of being a leader in the behavioral health space. He graduated from Drexel University in 2018 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He is licensed as a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
What is ERPHealth?-”ERP Health is a digital behavioral health company. Our products make sure that our resources see what is working and not working. So when people are reaching out for help they get the best help possible. It is objective, third party so it is very trustworthy.”
What would you consider to be the mission of ERPHeath?-”Our mission is to save and transform lives by making outcomes focused care the new standard in the behavioral health industry.”
What would you consider to be the vision of ERPHealth?-”The vision is that when somebody’s looking for care they can go on a website of an addiction’s health center. We want to be able to match a person who needs help based on a specific background like age, race, or gender with providers who specialize in providing care based on their needs.”
What inspired and motivated you to start ERP Health?-”I am a person in a long-term community from a substance use disorder. I struggled with addiction for many years and saw first-hand the devastation it could have on families, friend’s communities and of course the person who was struggling. I realized that if somebody does make the important step of reaching out for care it is important that they are getting personalized care based on outcomes. That is what led me to start ERP Health.”
Can you explain your partnership with TTR Transformation to Recovery and its impact?-”We work with the TTR team who engage their residents, clients with our outcome tracking technology and we measure whether or not the services at TTR are having a positive impact so resources can be geared toward the right things. An example of that is we recently ran an outcomes report and noticed that residents at TTR had a 66 percent improvement in satisfaction with their employment. And we know the partnership with Career Link basically could have helped. And that’s how we're able to measure how partnerships like that might have an impact. ”
Who are some people in your life who have inspired you to do what you are doing now?-”I would say my Mom’s a great inspiration in my life. She really stuck by my side when I was going through a difficult time. And that made me want to give back and make a positive difference for other people. I’ve also had many friends and mentors in the recovery community who taught me unconditional love and that’s a gift that I could never repay.”
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?-”I have two young children so I love playing with them and nurturing their young minds. I also love sports: the Eagles, I love going to Phillies games and watching them. We love going for nature walks on the weekend.”
Are there any closing thoughts and or something additional you would like to share?-”I would say thank you for taking the time to interview me and thank you for the work that TTR is doing in Philadelphia.”
Thank you very much to Mr. Gremminger for taking the time to sit down and answer these eight questions about ERP Health and his life.
